Terrariums are all the rage right now -- but, if you don’t have the money or space to make larger pieces to add to your decor, small magnetic terrariums may be the way to go. Terrariums are glass containers that house small plants inside. They can be sealed to allow for more plant growth or open to the atmosphere. They are often kept as decorative or ornamental items. These pieces are very easy to make, but real plants and large glass containers can cost you a pretty penny. Follow our guide to make some mini magnetic terrariums to add some boho decor to your home. Supplies Here are the items you’ll need to make your own magnetic terrariums:
  • Glass vials or containers
  • Artificial succulents
  • Moss
  • Sand
  • Small rocks
  • Any tiny objects you’d like to include
  • Disc Magnets
  • Hot glue and glue gun
Directions
  1. Fill the vial or jar with moss, sand, rocks and anything else you’d like to include in your terrarium. If your container is small, use a pencil to poke the moss inside.
  1. Remove the succulent from its stem and use the hot glue gun to glue it into place inside the jar. On top of the moss will be the easiest spot. Let this set to dry before moving on.
  1. Once it’s dry, use the hot glue gun to add a magnet to the back of the jar. Let it sit overnight to dry.
  1. Stick your new magnetic terrarium to the fridge or another metal surface and enjoy!
